As I write this, one of our members, Louise
Rhodes, is enjoying a World Cruise with her daughter. What a good ideal!
Our Branch trip to Southport in July went
down well – we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Nostalgia Restaurant. We held
our AGM in September and the current officers were returned unopposed.
We held our Autumn Dance in October which
was a success. Five members attended the Area Reunion at Shrewsbury: a very
pleasant day, thanks to Irene Hall, Area Secretary, and her helpers.
After reading a recent article in our local
paper, we have sent 4 shoe boxes containing ladies toiletries etc for the
girls serving in Afghanistan. Editor: If other branches are interested

We are now thinking about our Christmas
Lunch. Although our numbers are fewer, we are still working hard for the
Association.
