Glasgow Branch

As the number of members attending our meetings are getting less, only twenty people were at our Christmas lunch in the Hilton Grosvenor Hotel. We had a room with a large oval table so could all sit together and enjoyed ourselves.

Our speakers for January and February both had to cancel their visit to us. The WRAC members attending the WRAC Dinner Club in Liverpool as usual enjoyed themselves and then returned to Blackpool for the Grand Reunion. Also in March we had Miss Hunter talking about her trip on the QE 2’s last sailing. In May, Mr Black showed a film and told the facts of the Templeton carpet factory collapse in the 1860s.

We are now taking our summer holidays and will return in September. On a very sad note we lost our President, Margaret Rattray (Margaret Alexander) in March after a short illness – we will miss her very much. We send our best wishes to all other Branches.
