As there are only a few members that can
attend the meetings we meet up when we can. This year our first meeting was
in March, dates for the diary given to members which is a tea party with the
Canterbury Branch in July. Armed Forces Day is at Chatham, very near us, but
only Helen Dodd will go. Sorry that no one from the branch went to the Grand
Reunion, though from comments I received I hope some can go to the next one.
Raffles are the only fund raising we do now, boot fairs have got so dear for
a stall and are held only on Sundays around the Medway area
Already we have got an invite to join Canterbury for the
Christmas dinner this year and to those that knew I was (Janet) in hospital
having only water, I hope to make up for it this year.
We wish all members of the branch good well wishes,
especially Joyce who is very fond of kissing the pavement lately. Looking
forward to the next Lioness with the write-ups on the Grand Reunion. |
