The Wirral Branch’s roots started from the
Chester Branch when it was decided to start a sub Branch for members who were
unable to attend the meetings on a weekday. We started having our meetings in a
café in Birkenhead but recently moved to Chetwynd Barracks which is home from
home for a lot of our members as they were based there with the TA.
After six months it was decided by both
Chester and Wirral that it was the right time to become a full Branch and this
came about in January of this year. Presently we have eleven members, one of
whom actually lives in Bulgaria! We still have close ties with Chester Branch,
two of our members belong to both Branches and we all go out on days out
together.
We hold our meetings on the first Wednesday of
